ENGLISH LANGUAGE A1–A2

This course is intended for adult students who are just starting to learn English and have basic knowledge at the A1/A2 level. The course consists of different modules covering the basics of grammar, vocabulary, reading and communication in English. During the course, students will learn to pronounce and write English words, phrases and simple sentences.

They will learn to understand and answer simple questions in English, as well as read and understand simple texts in English. An important component of the course is the development of communication skills in English, both orally and in writing, with an emphasis on communication in a playful way. The course also includes additional materials for independent study and practice.

You will meet:

With vocabulary and grammar corresponding to levels A1–A2.
Vocabulary: about 1500-2500 words.
Known level A1-A2 will be enough for traveling in a foreign area and communicating with the host. But you will not be able to establish closer partnerships or friendships by speaking the language at the A1 level.
The student will be able to use sentences and popular phrases to which the student is directly related (information about family members, animals, field of activity, weather, etc.)
The student will be able to communicate to solve simple everyday tasks, communication on familiar or everyday topics.
The student will be able to easily describe moments of the past or present, as well as areas with which the student is closely connected and regularly interacts.
The student will be able to conduct a dialogue, but the interlocutor must speak slowly and explain himself clearly.
A1-A2 level, like any other, is aimed at the development of key skills: listening, speaking, reading, speech and writing.

The project method is an approach when a student learns English while working on small projects. It all starts with a life question or problem with which the teacher introduces the student. For example, the teacher asks him to think about how he would organize a collection donated to charity in his district. The student’s task is to learn more about the problem or use his experience to find a solution to the problem in English.

The communicative approach is a technique that allows you to learn English through communication. It is based on a lot of conversational practice and a minimum of theory. Such lessons are structured so that the student and the teacher communicate in English from the first minutes of the lesson. This helps to avoid the most common problem of language learners — “I know, but I can’t say.”
